- Sinopsis
- Patrick Radovan (23) is a young apprentice in his family’s pharmacy. Raised since childhood by his uncle
  Cosme Radovan (48), he is eager to acquire new responsibilities and follows his uncle’s instructions. After
  years of learning, Cosme allows him to listen to the request of one particular patient, Proncatiev (52), a florist consumed by grief after losing his daughter. This interview is for Patrick the gateway to the real world of his family. The man asks for a six-year rest to forget his pain. Patricio sees that the family fortune is generated
  by a clandestine business that consists of subjecting patients to deep and prolonged dreams induced using
  secret alchemical procedures in rest chambers. In the bunker, Patrick learns the characteristics of the process.
  Fascinated by a new world and by the energy of dozens of sleepers who rest along with their hidden stories.
  As Patrick wanders through the wild monotony of the city, observing its inhabitants, he imagines who might
  long for or deserve the Radovan dream.
  
  Patrick helps Cosme and takes care of all the patients except for “Patient Zero”, someone in a room forbid-
  den to Patrick. One day, his uncle decides to lock himself in the bunker, he asks Patrick not to interrupt him
  
  and to devote himself to the pharmacy. Two days later, Patricio is surprised by his father Julius Radovan (48)
  who appears after years of absence. Now it is his uncle who rests in one of the chambers. Under his father’s
  tutelage, Patrick continues his training. During one of his shifts at the pharmacy, he meets Mara (28), a nurse
  who is willing to submit herself to the cure in order to escape from a world she considers brutal and primitive
  and hence awaken to a more civilized future. Patrick refuses, however, with her arguments, she manages to
  arouse the curiosity of the young apprentice. After new meetings with Mara, Patrick discovers the unjust and
  cruel reality of the city and this leads him to confront his father regarding the nature of the treatment and its
  questionable effectiveness. He also learns about the dark past of some of the patients who rest in the depths of the dream.
  When his father orders him to wake up one of the most dangerous patients, Patrick refuses, beats his father
  unconscious, and immerses him in one of the chambers. Patrick discovers that his mentors are actually over a
  hundred years old and seek to prolong their lives through the treatments that they administer to themselves.
  He then awakens “Patient Zero”, who turns out to be his grandfather Jeremy Rádovan (65), he looks in horror
  at the bunker and, seeing his sons as traitors to his cause, ends his life. Patrick understands that he is part of an experiment and does not even know his true biological age. Exhausted, in a last act of kindness, he wakes Proncatiev, the only patient he knows, and warns him of the possible catastrophic consequences of rest.
