The actor Jean Pierre Noher, Argentinean of French origin, is looking for a repertoire to record on his first tango album while trying to explain why tango resonates in his personal history.
His search leads him to investigate the relationship of tango with France, in the mythical presence of Gardel and in the discovery of a dream of the intellectual world in exile in the 80's, with the help of the prestigious Edgardo Cantón together with 23 friends. artists and the patronage of Julio Cortázar. All of them, without knowing what would happen next, decided to open this tanguería, at Rué Lomabarde 9, the Latin Quarter in the heart of Paris.

A small event - the founding of a tango bar in Paris - a treasure to discover: the “Trottoirs de Buenos Aires”. Where figures such as Pugliese, the Salgan-De Lío duo, the Sexteto Mayor, Jairo, Josefina, Piazzola, Horacio Ferrer, Amelita Baltar, Roberto Goyeneche, Raul Lavie, the Argentine Tango company, among many other artists, left their mark.
With the testimony of several of its founders, regular musicians and archives, the collage of this story is assembled, which concludes that this bar was, inadvertently, the springboard of tango to the world.
