    • Synopsis
    • White Falls tells the story of Jen and John, siblings who are trapped in their crumbling family home as they struggle to survive a zombie epidemic in the aftermath of a devastating winter storm. When survival savvy brothers Travis and Dale are attacked by a zombie, Dale is seriously wounded and possibly infected. They find refuge with Jen and John as Travis attempts to save his brother's life. As the food supply dwindles, the plumbing fails, the electricity disappears and the defences against the dead amassing outside begin to buckle, it becomes evident that they must leave or perish. But before they can leave, Jen must first make peace with her departed parents, her insufferable younger brother and, most of all, herself.

This is a small film with big ideas, a throwback to a time when horror and science fiction films told allegorical tales about the world in which we live. It not only balances a gory zombie flick with a story about familial bonds and loss but also provides a glimpse into a world that has become dependent on limited resources and asks the question: what happens when these “essentials” are taken away? It serves as a warning that humanity must relearn to live within and adapt to its environment rather than defend itself against it, or else we will surely perish.
