He comes back home. He arrives in front of the family house where he spent his whole childhood. The city council of Jerusalem issues a warning about the demolition of part of the building where Ramzi’s family lives. Ramzi’s father is not talking any more. Ramzi’s mother feels completely helpless, while his grandmother is dying.
Ramzi comes back to Paris. In the airport, Ramzi has been robbed by a thief, and his recently renewed ID card taken. On the streets, the recent attacks have altered the citizens’ daily life. At Julie’s home, a tension surfaces. She has changed her mind and she wants to build a family, while Ramzi does not share her wish. They both decide to break up their relationship.
Shortly afterwards, Ramzi moves into Hani’s atelier. His friend Hani is also Palestinian and as Ramzi, he also wants to destroy whatever he first built. Drowning in silence, Ramzi remembers his childhood, the Intifada, the Israeli occupation and the multitude of things that continue to humiliate him and prevent him from existing.
Have do you have the right to love someone when you come from nowhere?
In Jerusalem, Ramzi stumbles upon challenge after challenge before he is able to receive another ID card. In the meantime, his family prepares a party. Ramzi’s brother, Hussam, is getting married. The day after, the City Council demolishes Hussam’s home.
Ramzi is in the airport. Once again, he goes looking for another place and for another love.
