- Synopsis
- For Dodie Spinner life seems perfect – it’s 1966, she’s in love, about to graduate and landed the comedy lead in the college musical. Saving herself for marriage, her world collapses when she’s raped. Ashamed, she tells no one and carries on with rehearsals and classes until she discovers she’s pregnant. In an era where abortion and birth control are illegal, Dodie scrambles to find a way to end the pregnancy. On the brink of insanity, and constricting social pressure, she finds solace in music and the help of those she loves, to learn that her life is hers to choose.
