    • Synopsis
    • In the summer of 2016 in Manila, newly elected Philippines president Rodrigo Duterte launches an anti-drug campaign called Operation Tokhang. Local officials and law enforcement go door-to-door and invite Maria and Arturo, suspected drug users, to surrender and add their names to the “drug watch list.”
      Soon after, Arturo is found dead in the streets under mysterious circumstances. Maria is left to fend for their three children in a virtual police state. As she delves into Manila’s dark underworld of cops, criminals and drugs to find answers, she realizes the truth is never black and white, and that she must confront her own darkness to keep her family safe.
