- Synopsis
- Angela is twelve years old and her three stepsisters are all close to thirty. The four of them come together for the first time on the occasion of the death of their father, a charismatic rake. Angela has never lived with anyone other than her father and has no memory of her mother. Following the death of their father, and in order to save Angela from the government child protection agency, her sisters drive her to the other side of the country where an aunt awaits her. During this journey of mourning, especially while sharing a room in a shabby roadside motel, Angela's pubescent body awakens and she begins to recognize the femininity and sensuality in each of her sisters, discovering the mysteries of pleasure and pain, the female body, misfortune, and the challenges a woman faces on the road.
