    • Synopsis
    • Violins of the World is a musical documentary which will trace the history of the violin, a magical instrument and will be a tribute to internationally renown “virtuosos” (Itzhak Perlman, Alexis Cardena..), and a call to the closeness that the “voice of the violin” brings, across borders, race or religion. A dream initially expressed by Yehudi Menuhin, this story will be told by the master storyteller Tony Gatlif, with the help of the famous musician Didier Lockwood. Violins of the World is the story of a mysterious violin found at a flea market in Paris that will lead us to a quest of the origins on a path full of beautiful tales, dreamlike images and vivid sounds across the world.
