    • Synopsis
    • Thomas has always wanted to be a rockstar. But he’s already thirty three and still lives with his parents. Plus, he’s bankrupt and, last but not least, he’s French... (Nobody’s perfect). When his band breaks up, because as we all know “rock is dead”, Thomas has to give up music. In order to pay his debts, he sells his unique and vintage guitar to a wealthy collector who also happens to be offering one million dollars to anyone who will bring him a mythical 1958 guitar: The Moderne by Gibson. The thing is nobody knows if it has really existed…
Thomas takes on the challenge and embarks upon a journey that takes him far beyond what he could have ever imagined, from Paris to Memphis Tennessee, to the historic land of rock and blues. But he soon finds out that he’s not the only one looking for this guitar and that the Moderne might be magical or even cursed. And Thomas ends up wishing he had never accepted a BBQ invitation from a mad Elvis lookalike.
In his holy grail quest, Thomas teams up with Lorraine, a strong activist yet spirited native American blues music specialist who, unlike Thomas, understands the difference between a successful life and a life of success.
Together, they will end up digging up an obscure rock’n’roll pioneer: a weird yet fascinating musician who is said to have owned an original Moderne, the famous guitar which indeed could bring Thomas everything he has always dreamt of: Success, money, fame and glory. In a word, Thomas could finally find his mojo.
But do you have to sell your soul to the devil to have all that?
Apparently, back in the days, Robert Johnson did.
      Well, that’s what people say…
