    • “Vilom” is a story of risk-taking, creativity, rebellion and survival as told through this dramatic gender blending, gay, straight relationships. The story is about three main youngsters (Vilom, Amay and Nivi) who are struggling in our corrupt social structure to make their lives easier. The story is based in Chandigarh between 2009 and 2013. Some real events from this period have been used to enhance the fictional story and for dramatization purpose.
Vilom works as a YouTuber, who seeks social media attention, so he tries to make new concepts everyday to become Internet-famous. He is lonely and very isolated. Vilom is confused about his sexuality and he is trying to understand what works for him.
Amay is a young dynamic boy who has come to this city from a village in Punjab. He is working as a hairdresser in a salon. He is well educated and like a gentleman. Amay is gay and falls in love with Vilom. They face criticism and abuse now and then but current government policies help them to gain some confidence. They move in together.
Nivi is a young beautiful girl who is struggling in her acting career. She meets Vilom during his new social experimental video project. She falls for him, which creates problems between Vilom and Amay, and leaves him when she realizes Vilom is in a relationship with a gay man.
Then the worst nightmare comes to their life. Changes in government policies make things difficult for them in the city and they get to face horrible harassment
      by police.
Our corrupt social structure and government policies do not give any justice to this horrible crime. They have to live with that. The social burden and responsibilities towards family and society force them to live apart.
This film tells the story of our corrupt society through the story of shame, desire, and love.
