- Synopsis
- Those who take direct action to protect what they see as important, in a world where law and justice have no power.
  
  In a country town in Saitama Prefecture, three young brothers attempt to kill their father Takeo, an important figure in the local community who exerts a violent and tyrannical rule over his family. Eldest son Ichiro runs away after the incident, and remains missing.
  Years later, the now grown-up middle son Jiro has become a city councillor, as if trying to follow in his father’s footsteps. Meanwhile, youngest son Saburo makes ends meet by managing a call girl business for a volatile gangster.
  The forces of urbanization relentlessly encroach on the sleepy rural burg, and a project to build a massive shopping mall emerges. When Takeo dies, Ichiro suddenly returns home, and the brothers are reunited for the first time in 30 years.
  Jiro needs to obtain a block of land owned by Takeo for the mall construction project, and asks Ichiro to let him inherit it. However, his older brother shows him a notarized will signed by Takeo, and declares that he will take possession of their father’s legacy.
  Ichiro’s return has unexpected consequences for all, and tensions in the town become increasingly strained. A community of foreign laborers clashes with an overzealous neighborhood watch group. Powerful politicians collude with organized crime. Seeds of greed and violence lurking beneath the town’s serene pastoral veneer begin to penetrate the surface, spreading evil everywhere.
