    • Synopsis
    • During the centenary of the Only Child Decree that helped contain the once uncontrollable
      growth of an entire population, IORI, a lonely middle
      - aged public employee who is in charged of filing and storing the remains of abandoned and cremated corpses, discovers something in MANASSES, the elderly janitor of her building, which makes her look at the world with a new set of eyes. At the same time, a series of encounters lead her to develop an unsuspected and initially undesirable relationship with a neighbouring child, RUDA, who has just become an orphan. Along with MANASSES and RUDA, and without rhyme or reason, IORI starts perceiving the disenchantment of the dystopian world around her and
      decides to stand up to the oppressive system with the weapons she has at her disposal: the ashes of the abandoned ancestors.
