    • Synopsis
    • The film narrates the story of an old and painful love wound, which, having remained forgotten and unconscious to the main character, resurfaces with great intensity upon unexpected news.
In 2023, at the age of 62, Raúl learns that Marcela, his great love from his youth and from whom he has heard nothing for many years, has just committed suicide. The shock of the news leads him to recall the desperate love story he lived with her.
The memory unfolds in the winter of 1980 in Buenos Aires, during the military dictatorship of Videla. Marcela, at 18, discovers she's pregnant due to a casual relationship and doesn't know what decision to make about it. Raúl, at 19, suggests they go to a beach as an illusory and naive way to escape the distressing dilemma, as well as her domineering and frightening mother, who has yet to find out about the pregnancy. Despite the anguish, during those few days of the trip, they experience moments of intense love and tenderness. The young man, who loves her desperately, deludes himself into taking responsibility for a child that isn't his and building a life different from that of his parents. On the other hand, Marcela, sadder and more realistic, with the passing of hours, will come to understand that Raúl's illusion is in vain. Distressed, she will let her body decide.
As the memory unfolds, we will incidentally see the present-day Raúl traversing the places to which the trip with Marcela led him, like traces of a lost past.
