- Synopsis
- A comet is passing close to Earth's orbit and small meteorites are breaking off from its tail and entering the atmosphere in the Atacama Desert, bringing with it an unknown pathogen.
  A scientist, Elena (30 years old), must take a replacement to work in a clinical laboratory installed inside a hospital in the middle of the Atacama desert. Just before finishing his work shift, and returning with his young daughter, a person with great damage to his face enters the emergency room. The doctor in charge requests the laboratory to carry out the pertinent examinations on the patient, so in her investigation, Elena discovers that the man suffers from a strange infection caused by a totally unknown pathogen. This alerts a military man who is in charge of guarding the hospital and initiates the isolation protocol.
  The patient's condition progresses, disfiguring him monstrously. But the situation worsens when there are power cuts due to the astronomical phenomenon and communications with the outside are lost. Now they are trapped in the middle of the desert. Elena fears that she will not return with her daughter, and together with the hospital staff they begin to lose their sense of reality, especially Elena who seems to daydream about her daughter. While the military loses control due to fear and becomes another danger that they must face in the darkness of the hospital.
