Ushuaia Jail worked since the beginning of the last century until 1947, and led to the current naval base.
Both institutions are the source of the world's southernmost city. For the collective imagination was always synonymous with "journey of no return".

    • Synopsis
    • Societies built punishment institutions to hide un resolve conflicts with those excluded. Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the world. It was a prison that rise to that city. A prison that existed since the beginning of the last century until 1947.
      In 1883 the Penal Colony in southern Argentina was built.
      A year later, in 1884, was founded Ushuaia.
      From 1902-1947 worked as Jail of Tierra del Fuego.
      Carlos Pedro Vairo is Director of the Maritime Museum and Presidio of Ushuaia. The camera dives with him in the jail. Vairo presents, and old men and women who once were protagonists in the life of the prison, working as guards, nurses or cops.
      They are the characters in this film.
