On a beach in the south of the island, Raphaël, a Haitian child abandoned at birth, is raised by a white woman in her sixties. Diane left everything behind when he was entrusted to her and is fighting to become his legal mother. In a troubled Haiti, Diane loses ground, and Raphaël builds his life.
