    • Synopsis
    • Northern Spain, 1870s. As the country bleeds from the wars between liberals and Carlists, the bodies of several women are discovered on the outskirts of Vitoria—raped, tortured, mutilated, and strangled. It seems to be the work of a serial killer. The sister of one of the victims, determined to seek justice, is convinced that the killer is an illiterate farmer named Juan Díaz de Garayo. Meanwhile, the head of the local constables races against time and the indifference of the authorities to identify the murderer.
