    • Synopsis
    • The central theme is a treasure hunt, nothing unusual at first sight. However, this treasure everyone is chasing after, describes a country in the midst of rebuilding, still traumatized by the war. Against this interwar backdrop, emigrant clans constitute a microcosm: Gliwensbourg.
Gliwensbourg is a sort of Sherwood, lost in the marshes of northern France. It's a staging point for crooks, who attempt to make ends meet, while keeping their freedom. They trade in alcohol, the notorious absinthe, already prohibited in France since 1915. “Macaronis”, “Flemings” and “Arabs” have each other's backs, even if rivalry is always implicit. Our team is multi-ethnic: most of us are the grandchildren of emigrants. Therefore, we allow ourselves to play on our various origins, without becoming disrespectful.
The tone of the series is voluntarily politically incorrect, which makes it even more interesting. With censure, it would have been impossible to denounce with humor those stereotypes, urban myths, rumors, or simply to describe traditional customs
