    • Synopsis
    • Californian Kasia has been estranged from her mother since childhood. An aspiring actress and permanently needing cash, streetwise Kasia has learned to survive using her wits and grabbing any opportunity that comes her way. Which is why it comes as a complete shock to learn that she is the beneficiary of valuable land and property in her mother’s Will. What's more, the estate - a finca - is in Spain.

Intrigued and curious, Kasia borrows money from her best friend to fly to Europe to inspect the finca and arrange for its sale, but when she arrives at the location, the warm welcome and luxurious white-washed villa she was expecting turns out to be mere fantasy. Instead Kasia finds a ruined and isolated farmhouse occupied by the mysterious Carmen, who introduces her to a local landowner known as Jorge.

Initially suffering from jetlag and struggling to adjust in the remote mountainous environment, Kasia is desperate to return to the USA. Yet as the days pass she begins to question the events surrounding her mother’s demise, and the unnerving truth behind Carmen’s presence in the house.

With Jorge showing an unhealthy interest in Kasia, it becomes apparent that she is becoming the victim of a sinister undercurrent of corruption and exploitation. This culminates in a terrifying revelation, and Kasia must draw on every ounce of mental and physical strength if she is ever to leave the finca alive.
