    • Synopsis
    • In the tradition of ‘Frost/Nixon’ and ‘Goodnight, and Good Luck,’ THE EICHMANN SHOW is an intense, absorbing and unique take on a singular and extraordinary moment in television and political history.

April 11, 1961: In a baking hot studio gallery in Jerusalem, TV director Leo Hurwitz has his eyes fixed on the clock. The seconds are counting down to the first ever live TV broadcast of an event that will reach hundreds of millions of people in 37 countries around the world.

It is the trial of Adolf Eichmann - the architect of the Final Solution, the man who organized the mass deportation and extermination of 6 million Jews.

THE EICHMANN SHOW is the behind-the-scenes drama of how a blacklisted TV director (Anthony LaPaglia) and ground-breaking producer (Martin Freeman) overcame enormous obstacles as they set out to capture the testimony of one of the WW2’s most notorious Nazis. As he is confronted with witnesses to his appalling crimes, Eichmann remains emotionless. And as the trial progresses, while the director and producer become increasingly determined to decipher whether Eichmann has even a shred of remorse lurking inside, they ultimately reveal for the first time the true horrors of the Holocaust to the world.

The film will use a unique production technique, that will greatly intensify the power of the story. By perfectly recreating the courtroom where the trial was filmed in 1961, and by finding a host of doubles for the characters in the trial – the production will be able to integrate the actual footage of the trial seamlessly into the story – so that the impression will be that we are present at the trial itself – and able to bear witness again to the damning truth it reveals.
