    • Synopsis
    • The action takes place at the end of the XX century. In a village Teklivka in two days before the first of May dies Founder – a woman who long ago was here the first kolkhoz’s chairwoman. Her daughter Lina decides to bury her according to the Christian tradition on the third day and it happens to be on the First of May. The chairman of the local group of activists, supporter of revival of the Soviet Union, is outraged by this decision and forces Lina to bury her mother on the other day. The question is that in a village (especially in its group of activists) it is used to celebrate the First of May with a special May party. The Founder’s funeral becomes a symbolic event and transforms from a funeral of a deceased to a funeral of human senselessness.
