    • Synopsis
    • Cielo’s teenage daughter, Laura, is kidnapped by a violent cartel in a North Mexican village. Despite paying several ransoms, Laura is not returned.

When the authorities offer no support in the search, Cielo takes matters into her own hands. She begins her own investigation, but this attracts the attention of the cartel and her own life gets threatened.

Fortunately she manages to earn the trust and sympathy of Lamarque, an army Lieutenant operating in the region. Lamarque, a military man with unconventional modus operandi, agrees to assist her in her search – off the record – in exchange for information which she can provide as a local. Cielo’s collaboration with Lamarque pulls her into the vicious cycle of violence that made her a victim in the first place.
