- Synopsis
- The Burial follows Eleanor Loach, a once-promising actor released from prison after serving a thirteen-year sentence, who returns to her family’s Gothic manor house in the countryside. The home is inhabited by Gertrude, Eleanor’s estranged identical twin and now sole executor of their late father’s estate, and Ada, their lifelong maid. But Eleanor has a secret - she has returned to exact revenge upon Gertrude, who may or may not have betrayed her to the authorities years prior. Suspicions mount and sibling rivalries erupt as Eleanor and Gertrude engage in a dangerous game of cat and mouse. However, the unexpected arrival of a mysterious young woman threatens to expose a decades-old family secret and the ulterior motives of all involved.
