    • Synopsis
    • THE BLACK PRINCE, is based on a true story about the last King of the mighty Kingdom of Punjab. Placed on the Throne at the age of five and torn away from his mother when taken to England at the age of fifteen years by the British, who took over his Kingdom by careful maneuvers and indoctrinating him into Christianity. The British never accepted his reconversion back into Sikhism, the faith of his birth. Prince Duleep Singh’s long struggle to regain his identity and dignity took him across the world and was never allowed to set foot in his own Kingdom by the British. Maharaja Duleep Singh, died a pauper, alone in a Paris hotel. He was buried as a Christian in an English countryside, denying him his final wishes, even in death.
