- Synopsis
- In the hot summer of '69, the young doctor Hypatia Archontaki returns to her village in Crete, Matala, to announce the happy news of her marriage to her parents. Upon her arrival, a tragic event will disrupt Hypatia's peaceful and conventional everyday life, triggering a series of events that will lead her on a personal journey in search of her identity and her family's secrets. The encounter with the charming and mysterious doctor Harry Pierce, an enigmatic hippie who lives on the communal beach of Matala, brings her face to face with herself, her past, her desires, and her guilty conscience.
