    • Synopsis
    • In La Guajira, the north of Colombia, Georgina (70), an indigenous trans woman, faces the daily consequences of not having a name recognized by the Colombian state. Aware that her time is running out, she embarks on a journey through the desert to reunite with her family and reconcile with her past. During the trip, she witnesses the devastating abandonment that the Wayúu people endure as they struggle to survive in a hostile environment. Despite the challenges, Georgina finds the strength and courage to reclaim her right to be recognized for who she truly is. "Soul of the Desert" is a story of rebellion, resistance, and reconciliation where the fight for one person's civil rights becomes the fight for the rights of an entire people.
