    • Synopsis
    • Shylock, as seen through the eyes of Tubal, the Merchant of Venice’s only friend, This "one-man film" conjures up a whole cast of other characters: from Portia to Pontius Pilate, from the merchant to Adolph Hitler, from Dracula to the Wandering Jew.
With a leer, a wink and a shrug, Tubal charts the concept of Shylock throughout history, and traces the intolerance towards the ‘stranger’ in Europe. He talks about Shakespeare, theatre, xenophobia, history and ideas.
