- Synopsis
- In a small Flemish town, on the cusp of the C19th, there are sightings of ‘buckriders’ - demons flying on winged goats. In a world swept by plague, two town officials seek to unravel the mystery, facing corruption, betrayal, and even the devil. The buckriders story runs deep in Flemish folklore - part Robin Hood, as the poor seek to redistribute wealth, part Salem Witch Trials, as accusations spiral out of control. This is a story about people facing the brutality of social inequity attempting to fight back. This is a story touched by the fantastical - all is not what it seems.
