    • Synopsis
    • Uriel (14) flees his war-torn country. He starts a long journey across Africa and the desert, but in Libya he is imprisoned for three years in a terrible detention centre for migrants. He experiences hunger, disease, extreme violence and even there, war. He survives all this, dreaming of freedom, until one day he and some of his fellow prisoners board a boat and set off for Italy. As soon as he lands on the Sicilian coast, he is sent to a Centre for Asylum Seekers, the second largest in Italy, which houses 500 people, but this too will not be an easy experience.
This story is brought to life thanks to the images taken by dozens of migrants and collected by Italian journalists and activists.
