    • Synopsis
    • Everyday, the Police Force receives 185 phone calls. 180 are about rapes, murders, robberies and kidnappings. The otherfive begin with “There’s something strange in my house”.
      We take those five calls.
Thus begins the initiation of Corporal Lee, a rookie cop with a troubled past, into the bizarre world of a clandestine and unpublicised unit within the Police Force – the Miscellaneous Affairs Department (MAD).
Unlike normal cops who investigate crimes, MAD protects the public in far stranger ways.
A housewife complains about a spooky noise in her house. MAD traces it to faulty plumbing. A man claims that his banana tree is bleeding. MAD traces it to an injured snake.
For the veterans in MAD, Rule Number One states that: There are no ghosts. Set in metropolitan Singapore, RULE NUMBER ONE is a gritty, high-octane ride along with the MAD team as they race about doing what they term “the containment of fear”.
