    • Synopsis
    • Shot in real time in a city center, during night shrouded in darkness. Fío, a young woman working as a food delivery rider while studying for an important master’s exam the next day in Spain, a country she moved to from Colombia with a fictional scholarship funded by her grandmother’s savings and favors from friends.
Her mother insists she return to her home country once the scholarship ends, unaware of the truth behind its financing. Faced with a lack of deliveries and the need for money, Fío decides to make an illegal substances delivery that puts her life in danger when she is accused of keeping part of the order.
After a harrowing experience, she manages to escape with another woman detained at the location. Meanwhile, through phone calls, Fío must address multiple urgent personal problems that same night: Bernie reveals they will be evicted from their apartment and have nowhere to go, leading to an argument where Fío blames her for being irresponsible. Bernie’s daughter, Emely, calls in distress as a neighbor is banging on the door due to loud music while her mother is out. Additionally, Fío’s prized possession, her bike, is stolen, and she is forced to trade it for her grandmother’s gold pendant to maintain her friendship. Ultimately, in an emotional call, Fío and Bernie reconcile as they confess to being each other’s lifelines.
