- Synopsis
- In high school, Jimmy is an outsider because of his love and fascination of heavy metal, horror and the occult. His mother meant the world to him and since her death, he has been obsessed with contacting her soul using black magic. However, he's not really successful. It only results in vague sensations, until his new classmate, Amir, persuades him to impress the school’s most popular girl, Louise, with a secret séance. They are joined by Louise's best friend, Anna. The four of them mistakenly invoke the spirit of Louise’s ancestor, an evil necromancer, who is hell-bent on reanimating the corpses at the local cemetery, where Jimmy’s mother is buried. Only Jimmy can sense what's going on. Frantically, he tries to convince the others of the impending doom, but because of his lack of social skills, he ends up alienating himself even further. He realizes that in order to stop the evil spirit from raising an army of zombies, he needs Louise’s participation. If Jimmy wants to stop the dead, he must first learn to communicate with the living.
