- Synopsis
- An owner-type jeep travels near the rice fields of a lumad community. The dentist and his nurse enjoy the view and each other’s company despite the rainy day. They are going towards the barrio’s Lumad school for a medical outreach. They see the lighthouse from afar and the area for a proposed dam. A sharp stone puntures a tire and the dentist decides to drive flat at the center of the school’s quadrangle.
  
  They find school bags and things litter the place. The flag is in half-mast. Something’s gone wrong as if everyone left in a hurry. Just then someone shouts for them to run inside one of the classrooms. The rain stops. The rabids come out to attack. The dentist and the nurse tries to run but are mangled with human bites that tear off the flesh. The teeth-gnashing rabids are villagers and mining militia members foaming at the mouth. It’s going to be a long night for teacher Efren, the activist Gabbie, farmer Nestor and his boyscout son Ricky.
  
  The old jeep can now be a way out and the nurse’s mobile phone is ringing. They have to figure out how to get to the jeep, change the flat tire or call for help using the mobile phone. With son Ricky having chills, farmer Nestor gets impatient and tries to run for the jeep to get the mobile phone. But the rain stops again when he gets there. He gets mangled on his way back. Gabbie, Efren and Ricky finally escape using the old jeep but runs out of gas near the rice fields. A family of rabids attack them but militiaman Mayuga arrives to kill the violent rabids. Young Ricky goes missing in the skirmish. As they search for the kid and try to reach a forward military camp, Mayuga discovers that Gabbie is an activist and detains her when they reach the camp. Despite their ideological differences, Mayuga and Gabbie fight together when the rabid horde attacks the camp. Soon the rabids increase their numbers and the rain that they’re counting on suddenly stops.
