The story begins with a cop being beaten by a group of triad gangster in the dark of night and his gun gone missing after that. A platoon of PTU (Police Tactical Unit) led by Mike (Simon Yam) comes to help searching for it. But the PTU's action is a violation of the police code and their motives being questioned by the superior. So we see Mike and his fellows unwittingly put themselves in a difficult situation, having to deal with the suspicious police force and the law-defying triads
