- Synopsis
- A down on his luck brand merchandiser, Al Clancy, is about to lose his job and his home, he has one week to get his life together or he’ll lose everything. His job is easy; put posters in a shop wind ow take a picture, move on to the next shop. Unfortunately for him, he is left to mind his smart assed, 10-year-old nephew, Karl, for what he believes to be a weekend but turns out to be a whole week.
  
  All he needs to do is put 20 posters up all over Ireland, bring tshe pictures to his boss, get back to Kilkenny on Friday for Karl’s soccer game. Taking Karl out of school and stealing his mother’s camper-van they head off on adventure and have the craic! On the way back from a talent show they find their camper has been broken into and the posters have been destroyed by a bunch of lousy teenagers.
  
  Tensions rise between the two as external pressures on Al mount, losing a table quiz and lack of sleep make them both cranky. The following day, Al realises they won’t make it back to Kilkenny for Karl’s game. In a fit of anger, Karl deletes all the photos and any possibility of Al keeping his job or his home.
  
  Lost and alone, Al begs his step dad for money and finds himself drinking on a bridge. Karl loses the game, his mother and grandmother give him holy hell for being so reckless. Karl snaps and runs away to look for Al. Finding him on the edge of the bridge, Karl begs Al not to leave. Karl slips and falls off the edge- Al dives after him and catches him just in time. Karl’s mam and grandmother and Dan find the two lads on the bridge and then fireworks go off and they all realise that families are weird and nobody is perfect.
