    • Synopsis
    • In the village of Danao, one of the village healers, Jun Bayog, holds a rite for the safe and successful harvest of his brother's rice crop. Manggina Banicio, on the other hand, tells the story of how their ancestors shaped the mountains and turned them into terraced rice fields for generations. But the world is changing, and their children -- as well as their children's children -- are being exposed to education and modern things. Despite the distance from the town, more and more people have recently started to flock to the village since the rice terraces have been featured in the national television. The villagers are wondering whether new information and education will help them keep their traditions and practices or will hasten the changes that are taking place in the village.
