- Feature film adaptation of an immensely popular Fuji television mini-series, which aired in 2003 and returned as parts two and three in 2004 and 2005. Set in feudal Japan during the reign of child Shogun, Tokugawa Ietsugu, (1709-1716), the seventh in the Tokugawa line, the film tells of a legendary power struggle that took place among women of the inner palace during Ietsugu’s reign, and features a quintessential love story.
