    • Synopsis
    • A NoRWEGIAN HoRRoRKIT is a contemporary drama series based on Norway’s highly celebrated folktales. Using typical horror genre-tropes such as disturbing imagery and ominous tone, these classic tales will mirror our current lives and touch upon the dilemmas that today’s Norwegians are facing entertainingly and frighteningly.
Without comparison, Krystof Kieslowski took a similar approach, using the ten commandments as the foundation for his masterpiece Dekalog.

We aim to revisit notable fairytales and interpret them in real-time through a fresh, colorful perspective. By using our most beloved Norwegian folktales as the basic structure for a collection of horror-episodes, we dare to be as ambitious as the tales themselves: we want to say something about who we were, who we are, and who we could become as human beings – in an entertaining and frightening way.

The anthology series A NoRWEGIAN HoRRoRKIT will consist of 60 minute long episodes. The show will be characterized by recognizable red-thread techniques, easter eggs, etc. The episodes will subtly touch upon common themes, while the characters and storyline differ each time.
