    • Synopsis
    • In modern-day New York, Ginny is a foreign film graduate who, like many of her peers, must integrate into local life to stay. However, seemingly a part of the fragmented Chinese and Asian community, Ginny actually struggles to find a sense of belonging. Everything seems familiar and alienated at once, making it impossible for her to form lasting bonds.Ginny has tried experiencing two different lifestyles with two men, Ah Wei and Ah Yao. Ah Wei is an ex-classmate who shares the same enthusiasm for film with Ginny. However, they lack emotional chemistry, and when he reveals his plans to settle for a quiet life in Chinatown, Ginny realizes they are after different things. On the other hand, her live-in boyfriend Ah Yao, provides her with financial security, but their stagnant lifestyle stifles Ginny's creative mind. Ginny is stuck in a state of knowing what she rejects but has yet to discover her true desires.Like a wandering wave yet to reach the shore, Ginny is left with the only option to keep floating, neither returning home nor settling down. She is in a phase of uncertainty where the only thing she can do is keep moving forward, even though the upcoming journey is full of hardships and unknowns.
