- Synopsis
- A small-town community is shocked by a brutal killing attributed to a pack of wild coyotes as Rebeca Gutierrez emerges as the sole survivor, but with no memory of the attack. While the local police force and townspeople slaughter every coyote in the area, Byron, the father of the victim, harbors suspicions that Rebeca may be keeping more secrets than she is revealing.
  
  With no cohesive memory of the event, Rebeca seeks guidance from Susan, an Indigenous crisis counselor and therapist, to untangle the truth and navigate the aftermath of the trauma. Meanwhile, Rebeca’s grandfather warns her of the Nagual legacy in her family, adding layers of complexity to her journey of self-discovery.
  
  Amidst Rebeca's exploration of her newfound powers and attempts to harness them, she becomes the target of local vigilantes, led by Byron, who perceive her abilities as a threat and suspect her involvement in the murder.
  
  As Rebeca gradually reconstructs the events of that fateful night, she realizes she was a victim of sexual assault and acted in self-defense—a revelation overshadowed by the savage brutality of the killing. With detectives piecing together the supernatural elements at play, tensions escalate when the vigilantes retaliate by kidnapping and assaulting her grandfather, igniting a fierce vendetta within Rebeca and unleashing a spree of revenge with the aid of her new allies, the coyotes.
  
  In a moment of vulnerability, Rebeca is captured by Byron, who believes the only way to destroy Rebeca is to return her to the earth by burying her alive. Yet, against all odds, her nahuales spirit guides her back from the brink of death, instilling her with renewed vigor and resolve for the ultimate confrontation.
  
  One by one, people responsible for Rebeca’s attack are being found dead, as Rebeca takes control over her revenge. To the police's surprise when investigating these murders, they find that Rebeca is back alive and behind these happenings.
  
  In a climate of fear and misunderstanding, the townspeople, fueled by paranoia, embark on a witch hunt against Rebeca, leading to a final, bloody confrontation between her and the enraged mob. In a pivotal moment of redemption, Susan intervenes, appealing to Rebeca's humanity and urging her to spare the lives of her adversaries. Embracing her newfound identity as a powerful Nahuala witch, Rebeca emerges from the ordeal transformed, embodying strength and acceptance of her extraordinary heritage.
