    • Synopsis
    • One hot afternoon in 1985, in a town in the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Carmen and Rosa are about to give birth to their babies in the local hospital.
The two women are neighbors and their husbands, Pedro and dark Ramón, have the same last name: García.
It is chaotic in the hospital; that same day many other women have been giving birth.
When the Garcias meet their daughters, they cannot hide their surprise. Pedro believes that the dark baby girl he’s been brought from the nursery looks like nobody else in the family, and from the angry shouts of dark Ramón in the hospital’s corridors, they hear him swearing that the blonde, pale-skinned little girl they have just been handed does not belong to them.
The parents conclude that it has obviously been a mistake, and that the babies have been exchanged in the delivery room. The mothers are doubtful, and the
doctors assure them it is impossible, there has been no error.
The confusion continues, and the fathers decide they will change the babies, despite the hospital’s assurance.
In this way, the unique story of the Garcia neighbors and their daughters begins: two girls changed on the day they were born… or after.
