    • Synopsis
    • In 2010 Ana, a Colombian immigrant in Australia with LAM, a rare degenerative lung condition that impedes her from flying or having children, risks her life by flying to Colombia to adopt a baby and see her dear grandfather in the coffee region for the very last time. Nine years later, in Australia, after the adoption and the natural progress of the disease, Ana reunites with her friend Alvaro who had filmed that trip. Together they review the footage that had stayed stored away throughout the years. Motherland are the memories of that journey. Motherland are all the questions that couldn’t be made at the time; an attempt to comprehend the unexpected, the magic of life, the present, what tomorrow means.
