- Synopsis
- In 1940, a year after the end of the Civil War, the spirit of victory settles over Spain: fear, silence and the systematic violence used by the victors against the vanquished.
  Europe is at war. The troops of the Third Reich advance unchecked over Western Europe. Paris is occupied. The victims of Nazism, mostly Jews, scatter over the continent, desperately in search of a way out to escape the concentrate camps and death.
  In Ribadavia, a small town in inland Galicia, three women, three sisters, Lola, Amparo and Julia Touza, turn the kiosk they run at the train station into the hub of a network dedicated to helping Jews reach Portugal, from where they can find safe passage to the Americas.
