- Synopsis
- Since the arrival of a major oil corporation, reality at the fictional town of Piedade, Pernambuco, has radically changed. Increasingly constant shark attacks, intense property speculation, the withdrawal of the local population to increasingly modern and luxurious enterprises, the city was taken over by the side-effects and alleged improvements of Petrogreen Inc. Some outbreaks of popular resistance gained strength over the years, causing any headaches and certain delays to the oil company’s plans. Aurelius, a company Executive from São Paulo, disembarks in Piedade to solve one of these cases. He is willing to do anything to resolve the situation of some inhabitants of the coastal region who refuse to sell their properties. Omar is at the center of this nucleus of resistance. He is responsible for a bar, called Paraíso do Mar, along with his mother, Mrs. Carminha. Aurelio’s arrival will bring up long-hidden secrets that, unexpectedly, link Omar’s family to Sandro, owner of a porn movie theater on the other side of town.
