    • Synopsis
    • ‘Mein Buch’ is the story of a family throughout the twentieth century. Composed almost entirely of family footage, it is accompanied by an imaginary dialogue between two characters: one of them leaves Switzerland in 1921 to settle down in South America. A plot is weaved through this off-screen conversation, which eventually discloses who the characters are and the intimate bond they share.
Leaving one’s homeland, a private diary, trips to the Far East, books, a theatre destroyed by fire, self-exile.
