At the age of 11, Ramasan is already a man under his little boyish exterior. He has taken refuge in Austria with his mother and two sisters, and is trying to replace his father, who died in Chechnya, as best he can. The arrival of Issa, an old friend of his father's, will shake up his daily life.

    • Ramasan, an 11-year-old boy from Chechenya, grows up in Macondo, a refugee settlement on the outskirts of Vienna. Living alone with his mother and two little sisters, Ramasan takes over the role of the father assuming the responsibility for his small family.
