    • Synopsis
    • Saxophonist and improvising jazz composer Maria Faust is a powerhouse in terms of her tireless creative output.‘Machina Faust’ portrays her as a flesh-and-blood human being who lays everything bare for the camera and is completely uninterested in painting a glossy picture of either her musical livelihood or her loving - but often complicated - relationship with husband and musician Ned Ferm. Out of the constant tornado that is her life, however, comes art with a capital A. Over three years we follow the creation of three works, all of which relate to women's struggles, and experience the accompanying shower of praise from the industry she loves and hates. But on the horizon lurk both a corona crisis and major crossroads.
