    • Synopsis
    • When she was 18 months old, Lise's parents learned that she had a tumor on her optic nerve which made her visually impaired.

Today Lise is 12 years old and despite all the physical and moral suffering, the chemotherapy, the medical appointments she has endured since then, she continues her life. She loves playing the piano, playing sports, her pets, and of course her parents Angélique and Julien, Julie and Éline, her two big sisters and her friends.

Lise always remains positive and smiling. Those who know her call her: The ray of sunshine. Those around her confirm it, she is dynamic, very active and courageous.

Although her physical limitations prevent her from having the same life as children her age, she rarely gives up. With the help of her white cane, her sister Éline accompanies her daily to college, in a class set up exclusively for her. Two A.E.S.H (Accompanying Students with Disabilities) Donovan and Justine help her read and decipher what she is unable to see. They confirm that she is a very good student, with a strong character and above all very endearing.

Whether it is to go shopping, play sports, or meet friends, her trips outside the family home make her a homebody and solitary. These daily accompaniments weigh on him. Despite her young age and her health problems, Lise dreams of being more independent and autonomous, of acquiring more freedom.

She learns that there is the Frédéric Gaillanne foundation in the south of France. This is a school that educates and provides free guide dogs exclusively for visually impaired children.

With the support of her parents, Lise decides to register for this training without further delay.
Over the course of a year, Lise participates in several internships and successfully completes all the learning stages. Thanks to her maturity and seriousness, at 13 she became one of the youngest guide dog teachers in Europe. This new companion becomes his ticket to freedom in this new life.

Despite her mother's legitimate fear of letting her emancipate herself with the sole company of her dog Réglys. Lise joins school without the help of those close to her. Lise and Réglys are inseparable and form a very active and complicit pair.

Without any more fear, Lise and Réglys are now able to live their lives.

With a hint of sadness, and hope, her loved ones and the medical profession then wonder about her future as a woman, imagining the life of Lise suffering from total blindness in a few years.
