    • Synopsis
    • Jesse Fisher, a director of admissions at a Manhattan university, returns to his beloved alma mater for his old professor and friend's retirement dinner. An inveterate reader who loathes his job and feels as if life is passing him by, Jesse is both intrigued and deeply disturbed when 19 year old Zibby, a student at his old college, develops a huge crush on him, and vice versa. They begin to fall for each other, but Jesse can't overcome the age difference, and Zibby, wounded by his rejection, moves on. Indeed, the bucolic environs of his former college encompass deep emotional undercurrents for both Jesse and those in his orbit. The emotional ripples in the little pond follow Jesse back to Manhattan, where true love with an "age appropriate" admirer may finally fulfill his fondest hopes...
