    • Synopsis
    • Paraguay 1947. Asunción is paralyzed by the civil war. Nina is 20 years old and wants to become a singer, but with the sudden fleeing of her revolutionary family, she is forced to live and work as a maid in the house of her relatives from the opposing and conservative party.
      Even though Nina puts herself at the service of the revolution to free political prisoners. She falls in love with one of them: Raul, whom she frees and and with whom she has a hidden romance.
      After getting pregnant and being abandoned by him, she decides to flee the house, the war and the country. She counts on the help of her sister Chichí, who agrees to escape in order to freely live a loving romance with another woman.
      Nina's story reflects the lives of thousands of migrants who, even today, decide to cross borders with nothing in their hands but the illusion of a better life. This is the story of women in search of emancipation.
